Narcotics Interdiction Equipment That Is Built to Last

Drug addiction and drug trafficking remain some of the biggest problems of law enforcement agencies to contain and stop. This calls for narcotics interdiction equipment that not only promise positive results during inspections but are also built to withstand regular use and under various conditions.

Campbell/Harris Security Equipment Company (CSECO) has been manufacturing contraband and drug interdiction equipment for 30 years and counting. A large part of the company’s success lies, of course, in the efficiency and durability of its line of equipment, among the other positives.

The Buster density meter has been CSECO’s top contraband detection tool ever since the company formed. It was developed and created by Patrick J. Campbell with direct input from agents from Customs and Border Protection (CBP). They tested the prototype on the field to make sure that the Buster would be effective and built to last from repeated uses.

The first version, the Buster K910B, has been hailed as the “gold standard” in contraband detection equipment because of its very durability, aside from the sophisticated technology that it uses in detecting hidden narcotics and other contraband. The newest iteration, the Buster K910G, still holds the same technology and promises to deliver even better results in illegal narcotics/contraband inspections – only it is made even safer for the users and for the environment as well.

Like the Buster K910B, the Buster K910G still uses the low-intensity gamma radiation emitter and scintillation detector which enables it to pick up four readings per second, allowing for quick yet accurate scans. You can use it to scan vehicles, residences, offices and containers for hidden narcotics and contraband within ten or five minutes. When talking about durability and dependability, the Buster never fails – you can even use it to scan organic material such as wood, stone, dirt and most types of liquids, and still the Buster comes out working and giving accurate readings of these object’s density level.

How about radiation and radioactive leaks? Even short and low-dose exposure to radiation can already be considered harmful. You are not even allowed to get near items contaminated with radioactive substance unless you are required to use a special gear or equipment. The Buster has the RAD-Aware radiation detection technology that allows first responders to establish safety perimeters in case a dirty bomb or any other radioactive leak occurs. If the Buster being affected by those leaks might affect its performance, rest assured that it will still work as finely as it ever does.

The Buster K910G has no lead-based components, and its radioactive source is now 25% less than most density meters on the market. Not only you are assured of the Buster’s efficiency and durability, but also of its safety even if you’re using it in your regular inspections on checkpoints, national borders, airports, seaports and other areas requiring high-security checks.

Also becoming popular in CSECO’s line of products is the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System. Users love its large, multi-directional high-resolution color LCD, with easy-to-use buttons for dimming and zooming. Unlike a fiberscope, the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope doesn’t have an eyepiece to squint into, and that results to eye fatigue. This videoscope won’t give the user such problems.

The Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope is also built to last even after repeated uses. The long, thin and flexible shaft is incredibly durable, being protected by a special tungsten coating. The durability of this videoscope extends by the fact that it is not made with tiny glass fibers (which fiberscopes have), leading to less frequent and less costly repairs.

Want more out of the Perfect Vision V20 videoscope? It is also certified safe by the Underwriters Laboratory (UL), an organization well known the world over for testing electric equipment and components. The videoscope’s safety certification from the UL assures the user that it won’t incite accidental sparks or malfunctions even when used in hazardous conditions (such as inspecting gas tanks suspected of carrying illegal drugs and narcotics).

When looking for narcotics interdiction equipment that has everything drug interdiction agents need – effectiveness, efficiency, safety and near-indestructibility – CSECO has them!
