Fiberscope Inspection Kit

Fiberscope Inspection Kit

FV-Series Fiberscope Inspection Kit

The CSECO FV-Series Fiberscope allows inspection personnel to visually examine vehicle fuel tanks, dashboards, door panels, cargo areas, and other difficult-to-access spaces without unnecessary disassembly.

Used independently or alongside the Buster density meter, the fiberscope extends the operator’s ability to locate and confirm concealed contraband in confined or obstructed areas. Its flexible construction and controllable viewing tip allow officers and inspection personnel to see into locations that cannot be examined through ordinary visual inspection.

“My canine extends my sense of smell; my Buster extends my sense of touch; and my Fiberscope extends my sense of sight.”
— Cesar Rivera, Pomona Police Department

Designed for Difficult Inspections

The FV-Series Fiberscope provides two-way tip articulation. By articulating the tip and rotating the flexible shaft, the operator can inspect the surrounding area inside a vehicle fuel tank, dashboard, door panel, or other confined space.

The fiber-optic bundle is protected by a heavy-duty tungsten outer skin designed to resist both diesel fuel and gasoline. More than 16,000 individual optical fibers, combined with the high-intensity illuminated handle, provide a clear view in dark and inaccessible spaces.

Key Features

Articulated Viewing Tip

Two-way articulation helps the operator direct the viewing tip throughout confined areas and inspect around internal obstructions.

Fuel-Resistant Construction

A heavy-duty tungsten outer skin protects the fiber-optic bundle and is resistant to gasoline and diesel fuel.

High-Visibility Optics

More than 16,000 individual optical fibers and high-intensity illumination provide a clear view in dark inspection areas.

Optional Video Capability

Available camera and monitor accessories allow inspections to be viewed on screen and recorded for documentation or training.

Typical Applications

  • Vehicle fuel tanks
  • Dashboards and door panels
  • Cargo compartments and container spaces
  • Marine and aircraft compartments
  • Wall cavities and other concealed areas
  • Barricaded rooms and tactical observation

Video and Monitoring Options
