The Buster uses a low intensity gamma radiation emitter and scintillation detector that quickly scans a variety of materials (e.g., wood, metal or plastics) and identifies hidden contraband items. This great tool can do all this without damaging the surface that’s being scanned, unlike other detection tools with millimeter wave, radio wave, ultra-violet or microwave technologies.
Additionally, the Buster is constructed and designed with the end users in mind. It allows an interdiction officer or inspector to find out if a suspected vehicle positively carries narcotics, illegal substances, explosives, “dirty bombs,” firearms, and other contraband in less than five minutes. The Buster also enables inspectors to examine and scan an average-sized room in less than ten minutes.
Many law enforcement, Customs and Border Protection, as well as interdiction officers widely use the Buster K910B Density Meter. The reason they choose the Buster is because they trust its quality, effectiveness, durability and dependability. It’s something that they can absolutely rely on during their narcotics searches in particular, especially when a K-9 unit is not available. This feature provides the safety factor not only for the handler but also the other people near the inspection area.
