Discover the CSECO Contraband Detectors

Campbell/Harris Security Equipment Company (CSECO) has long been the world leader in contraband detectors and contraband detection equipment. Since the release of the original K910B Density Meter, aka Buster, it has been the most used and trusted (as well as copied) density meter and contraband detector across the world.

However, CSECO doesn’t rest its success on the Buster. It has also released other contraband detection tools that will make the job of interdiction officers and the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents easier. These products include the original CT-30 Detection Kit which contained all of the things that law enforcement agents need to effectively detect and seize contraband.

The CT-30 Detection Kit contained the Buster, the FO-Series Articulated Fiberscope, the PN-Series Probe Inspection Kit, the Leica Laser Range Meter ®, the PM-10 Extension Mirror with High Intensity Flashlight, and the CT-30 Customer Carrying Case with Wheels.

But CSECO upgraded the CT-30 — now the CT-40 Contraband Detection Kit! It has all the tools and the features of the CT-30 kit but with some new improvements: the Buster K910G and the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope! Read the special focus on these two products, as a way to explain why the CT-40 Contraband Detection Kit is the ultimate contraband detection kit every law enforcer should have.

The Buster K910G is the upgrade of the much-loved K910B. Like the K910B, the K910G emits a low-intensity gamma radiation and scintillation detector. This type of technology is still amazing as it allows for scanning through a wide variety of surface such as rubber, wood, metal, concrete, reinforced plastic and even organic matter such as liquid and dirt. The same technology also helps officers detect different types of hidden contraband from narcotics to cash, and weapons and explosives.

The Buster K910G is fast and accurate — it takes four readings per second and is able to locate hidden items up to six inches deep. These features allow officers to move the Buster quickly to the next area without losing accuracy. The Buster K910G also has RAD-Aware technology that allows the detection of dangerous radioactive leaks. This allows the first responders to establish safety perimeters to keep people out of the danger of a dirty bomb detonation or other radioactivity in an area.

So what are updates found in the Buster K910G? It is re-designed to be much safer and more ergonomic. It also has a 7.5 micro curie Barium 133 source, which is at least 25% or more less than our rivals’ density meters. The K910G is now devoid of the harmful lead components previously found in the K910B. This makes not only inspections safer, but it is also safer for the environment as well.

The Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System, on the other hand, was designed to surpass the qualities of the present fiberscopes available on the market. Despite that, it maintains some of the old FO Series Fiberscope’s features, such as a 2mmx6mm tungsten-coated shaft which can be inserted into narrower areas. However, the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope is more convenient to use, since it is a one-piece unit — no need to attach bothersome cables! Read about the other features below.

It boasts a 5-inch color LCD display with push-button dimming and digital zoom which has a 10x resolution compared to that of the current fiberscopes. This big screen of the Perfect Vision V20 helps inspectors to have much better view of the areas they’re inspecting, without losing sight of the outside surroundings, thus minimizing eye fatigue. The powerful built-in LED lighting also makes the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope the ideal tool for inspecting during the evening or in darker areas. Since it is not built with glass fibers, the Perfect Vision is not easily worn or damaged, unlike the leading fiberscopes. It also boasts long-life rechargeable batteries for extensive inspections.

But the best thing about the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope is that it was the first certified safe by the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) which means it is totally safe to use even in hazardous areas such as gas tanks. Not many visual inspecting tools, or all contraband detecting tools for that matter, are certified safe by a leading product-testing organization like the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope is.

The Buster K910G Density Meter, the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System, as well as the other accessories mentioned, are encased in a durable and shock-resistant carrying case with wheels.

When you have the CSECO’s CT-40 Contraband Detection Kit with you, you will never have to find for another set of contraband detection tools for fast and effective inspections. You will be able to seize narcotics, illegal drugs, and other forms of contraband with the contraband detectors from CSECO.

Tony Harris, President and CEO, and Pat Campbell, founder, of CSECO explain about the Buster density meter and other contraband detectors.
